About us

The restaurant BASTADUR is located in the heart of old Montenegro in Njeguši, just a few meters below the house where the famous Montenegrin writer Petar Petrović Njegoš was born. The name "Bastadur" derives from the Italian language and means: capable, skillful, hardworking person. In the surroundings, you can enjoy untouched nature, greenery, and a view of the sacred Montenegrin mountain Lovćen. The cuisine of this restaurant emphasizes homemade, national specialties made exclusively from fresh local ingredients. Here you can try Njeguški prosciutto, homemade cheese in oil, lamb and veal cooked under the bell, homemade pastries with honey and cheese, various types of brandy. You can best experience the richness and taste of homemade cuisine at one of the oldest and most visited Montenegrin gastronomic events "Njeguška trpeza," which takes place every year at the end of summer.
